This piece dates to 1806 and was made by an unidentified Edinburgh silversmith with the maker's mark of TT. The spoon is a good large size, with a long handle and a distinct downward turn to the terminal. This piece is in great overall condition. The tip of the bowl is well defined, without any rounding or wear. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked with the thistle for sterling silver, the castle mark for the city of Edinburgh, the date letter a for 1806, King George III's head duty mark, and a maker's mark of TT.
