Johnson, et al.~ 1802 ~ ************************************************* Octavos. xlvii, 339; 335, [44] pages, including a 44 page Index at the rear of Volume II. Two volume set bound in early full leather. The bindings show moderate rubbing and wear, and have bumped corners. Hinges cracking and holding by the cords. Gilt rules and designs on the spines, which have dual black and green labels. The front pastedowns have the armorial bookplate of "Hon. James Butler" with the motto "Comme Je Trouve". (Comme je Trouve translates, "As I See It"). The bookplates have a shield tipped by a crown and an eagle (?). The text blocks are sound and a little toned but generally clean.
