Description: READ THE ENTIRE LISTING Beautiful Antique Sewing Kit. The beautiful wood box looks to be Mahogany. With beautiful interior, with the only wear being color loss. There is no unfixable damage. This kit is so beautiful it would be great in a museum. Or as I had it, on display in a cabinet. The kit is very clean for its age. The cardboard tray is sturdy. CONTENTS/DESCRIPTION The kit is full of 14 Spools of beautiful origional brand name silk substitute, linen and other thread for hand sewing or machine use. Look at each closeup of the spools in the photos for brand names. Most of the spools look unused or gently used. One spool was wrapped with Embroidery floss. One spool is empty. 👉Metal large sewing needle with Patina 👉2 Antique Thimbles 👉Small antique sewing needles in the small pin cushion area. 👉2 small antique pins in the other pin cushion area 👉There is a needle holder that pulls out with muslin pages for needle storage. 👉The needles are kept pinned on muslin strips. There are needles in the muslin strips. See Photo 👉The larger compartment in the middle holds the Thimbles and has room for more implements. 👉The little knob to open the middle compartment is “loose” and comes OFF easily. You can easily repair at your discretion. I have not performed any repairs during the 30 years this has been in my possession. 👉There is a few other small areas that the lid lifts off and is empty for more storage. Take the TRAY OUT! Underneath it is few beautiful strands of unused antique LACE from the 1800’s. The lace is in different sizes and maybe a foot long. They came with the box when I purchased years ago. Beautiful over 135 year old Dark Cherry Wood Box with mild Antique wear for its age. The key and keyhole are present. The key locks and unlocks. Key is nice and clean. The key is connected to its origional silk tassel. Some wood around the edges of the inside are mildly worn. The bottom of the box still has the green felt like material. There is wear is around the edges of the felt. Wear to the felt is mostly discolorations. The bottom of the wood box has normal discolouration wear but no damage. The item in the photos is the item you will receive. The kit will be sent priority mail with 21 and over physical signature required. The required insurance will be added. No PO Box.
