Description: This box came from a Washington, D.C. estate over 20 years ago. It has the original, untouched surface and, with the exception of a replaced foot, is completely original. All surfaces are decorated with fan & wheel carvings and there are many iron straps securing the sides. It is 14 3/4" x 13 3/4" x 9" and weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces.The last photo is from the Maine Antique Digest of a similar box that sold about five years ago.
