Description: Cuppacinos are here! Shy, slow-moving, and somewhat sizable, these precious little land shrimp are one of my favorites to handle. Behavior: They can be adventurous and will come out of hiding for a bite to eat, but these guys are fairly shy and mainly prefer huddling under or on top of their cork bark. Young cuppaccinos spend most of their time buried in the substrate. Enclosure: These adorable fellows do well in a fairly standard isopod enclosure or terrarium. Keep some sphagnum moss on one side that is kept damp, and mist their enclosure to ensure substrate does not dry out. Breeding: Despite their small clutch sizes, these sweet babies are decently prolific and will eagerly make more of themselves if given the proper care and setup. Diet: They enjoy a high nitrogen diet, as most cubaris species do. Be sure to only feed what they can eat and remove any extra food after 24 hours. They seem to prefer limestone rocks for calcium, but other sources will work just as well. Provide plenty of leaf litter for them as well, as it is their primary diet.
