Description: The item being offered is a 1/12th scale reproduction of my personal Japanese Temple Book. In 1968 I toured Japan and visited many temples. It was tradition to purchase a simple accordion style book and have it stamped at each temple visited with the stamp particular to each individual temple. At many temples a monk would include beautiful calligraphy while I waited to commemorate my visit. This tiny volume is printed on presentation quality 24 pound parchment paper. It measures 11/16th” high by ½” wide by 3/16th” thick. It comes with a miniature version of the slip case provided with the full sized version. The photos show the full sized Temple Book along with the miniature version for comparison. The full sized Temple Book is not included. I have signed the back of the pages. THE PICTURE IS LARGE TO ENABLE CLOSE VIEWING OF THE BOOK DETAILS. THE QUARTER IN THE PHOTO MEASURES .955 INCHES OR 24.26 MM.
